Terms of Service

Last updated: October 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Riderline, a show-preparation application for audio-visual technicians and event production professionals. Riderline is operated by Shay McGouran, doing business as a sole proprietorship based in Manitoba, Canada ("Riderline", "we", "us"). Mailing address: 54 Young St., Suite J, Winnipeg, MB R3C 1Y6, Canada. Contact: support@riderline.app.

By creating an account or using Riderline, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What Riderline Is

Riderline helps you prepare and organize shows and events: call sheets, gear lists, crew details, schedules, notes, and related planning information, with optional sharing to your crew.

Riderline is a planning tool — not a substitute for your judgment. Riderline does not replace your own professional judgment, safety procedures, or the requirements of any venue, employer, or client. You remain fully responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for any decisions you or others make based on it.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

3. Plans, Payment, and Renewal

4. Refunds

5. Your Content

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: use Riderline for anything unlawful; upload malicious code or attempt to breach or probe our systems; interfere with the service or other users; attempt to access other users' data; resell or misrepresent the service; or send spam or abusive content through it. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Availability and Backups

We work to keep Riderline available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free service. Maintenance, outages, or events beyond our control can make the service temporarily unavailable.

Keep your own copies of anything critical. Export or back up anything you cannot afford to lose, and never rely on Riderline as your only copy of show-critical information such as call times, contact details, or gear requirements.

8. Third-Party Services

Riderline relies on third-party providers (for example hosting, payment processing, email delivery, and authentication). We are not responsible for third-party services, and their terms may apply to your use of them.

9. Disclaimers

Riderline is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement — except to the extent such warranties cannot lawfully be disclaimed.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Riderline and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, business, or goodwill — explicitly including any losses connected to an event, show, or engagement planned using Riderline — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the service is capped at the greater of: (a) the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or (b) fifty Canadian dollars (CAD $50).

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes rights you have under consumer protection legislation that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

11. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Riderline and its operator from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your use of the service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.

12. Termination

You may stop using Riderline and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we will make reasonable efforts to give notice so you can export your content. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 9, 10, and 11) survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Manitoba and the applicable federal laws of Canada. The courts of Manitoba have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service, subject to any right you may have under applicable consumer protection law to bring a claim in your local jurisdiction.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you (for example by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Continuing to use Riderline after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
